‘The charges stem from a June 5 wreck that killed Robstown native Cris Isaac and severely injured Isaac’s passenger, Seth Waid.

Waid suffered severe brain injury. He moved Friday from a rehabilitation hospital in Victoria to a nursing home and rehabilitation center in Beeville, his mother Toni Waid said.

She said her son has started to make sounds as if he’s trying to talk and he seems more alert. “He’s hanging in there,” she said.’
