I guess that explains a bit about why Virginians have a more positive view of CollegeHumor than Texans. One of the cofounders is from U. of Richmond. Back then things were still spreading by word of mouth. I think the site’s kind of declined a lot since then–but for the first year or two it was fairly novel.
Oh, and I think their fame at Tech also had something to do with the Snowflake Girls. Probably no one outside of Virginia Tech has heard of this, but we had these two students who got their pictures up on CollegeHumor and became Blacksburg-famous. I think they ended up in Playboy later.
