At one point I never cared if my Web site, chelseydelaney.com, was compatible with Internet Explorer because I figured if someone wants to hire a Web designer they will be using something other than IE.
But being at my parents house means I have the opportunity to see all of my PNG files no longer showing sweet transparent backgrounds. Instead, lame gray-blue square backgrounds disgustingly occupy the screen.
So I finally did something about it.
Since PNGs are the best type of format you could place online, because they present images and text crisply and in a small file size, I was not going to change to a GIF (the only other format that offers transparency). I won’t step down.
So I just want to pass this along: ie-8-js. It’s a piece of Javascript code Google developed to enable transparency in Internet Explorer. When I found it I was quite thrilled.
P.S.
Stop using Internet Explorer. Do I really have to make a campaign site? Oh wait, someone already did.

I’m glad someone made an anti-IE website, that’s awesome.
