Beauty and the brains

I’ve been in bed for 14 hours. This is also means that news stories like this catch my eye:
“Nearly half of all men and one-third of women have lied about what they have read to try to impress friends or potential partners, a survey suggests.”
This really seems like common sense. Of course, they took this survey in the UK, so these were the typical results:
“The men polled said they would be most impressed by women who read news websites, Shakespeare or song lyrics. ”
Now I see where I have gone wrong. It’s my lack of Shakespeare. Or at least that’s where I’ve gone wrong in attracting a British mate.
Additionally: “One in five adults said they would read their chosen material whilst waiting for their date to arrive in the hope of making a good first impression. ”
The result was basically summed up as, despite the fact that everyone we know is obsessed with physical appearance, sometimes people also care about personality. I’m glad that someone finally went out and proved this.
