Props to Mariela Castro

With Raul Castro in the hot seat, and his daughter Mariela the head of the National Sex Education Center in Cuba, good things are happening for the Cubans that probably won’t happen in the States until a black man and a white woman running for the presidency is not such a big deal.
M. Castro has proposed:
- same-sex civil unions.
- free sex-change operations for transsexuals.
- the ability for transsexuals to switch the sex identification on ID cards, with or without a sex change.
According to the BBC and M. Castro, her dad is all for it.
Let’s give the lady some props. Uh oh… what is “the govt.” going to say?

Probably that it’s just not capitalist enough.
